Malaysian heat

Hiya
Hope all is well around the world, its ridiculuosly hot here, at least 35 I reckon, start sweating as soon as leave air con room...
We are in Penang, Georgetown, its quite a funky wee place, staying in Chinatown (we always seem to stay in Chinatown, think its mega cheap).
KL was awesome, similar to BKK really, so much to see and do, sensory overload! Took a ride out to the Batu caves, but didnt realise there was a Hindu festival on, and 1.4million Hindus were making a pilgrimmage to the same place..it was full on, felt like I was in India, I made the climb to the top to see the shrines which was cool..
Have been enjoying the food, lots of buffet style restaurants so you can choose what you want, and an endless supply of prawns :)
We spent 3 nights on Pangkor (Jases island paradise) he is a bit of a celeb there, he was recognised as soon as we got off the ferry!
It was very relaxing there, stayed in an Aframe hut, with a mosquito net over us for $3 nz a night haha.
Hired a motorbike to tour the island but it constantly crapped out, had to take it to the repair shop in the end, and we temporarily lost the key, which was a little stressful...
Tomorrow we are heading to Langkawi for a few more days on the beach..

Philippino styles

Hiya its good to back in blog world hehe, didnt see any internet cafes in Philippines so Im going to overload on photos this time.

We have just arrived back in Singapore after an eventful time in the Philippines.
We were extremely late for our flight to Manila, my fault wanted to catch a train so didnt have to walk as far with my ridiculously heavy bag hmmmm anyhow, sprinted through the airport, too late to checkin our bags so took them on as hand luggage.
Arrived in chaotic Manila, and got a taxi to our hostel which turned out to be in the whipwhops, no big deal a half hr taxi ride to town is like 50cents.
Decided to do a horse and cart ride round the park, they guy said 20 we figured he meant peso (about 50cents) he didnt say till the end he meant usd!!!
Despite the ripoff it was a good tour, he bought us beer, showed us around the shacks and shantys 'real Manila' we even saw kids shitting into the river, its used as a toilet - charming eh!
Also our meals got mixed up, I ordered sweet and sour fish, Jase sweet and sour pork. I ended up eating 3/4 a plate of meat!!! I was horrified as you can imagine.

We caught a boat to Sabang beach which was cool, met some great people, I learnt to dive which was exciting but quite scary. On the last day of my course Jase came along and we explored 3 shipwrecks at 20metres under, which was wicked.
Couldnt resist puting in the pics of Jase looking like wheres wally in Chinatown, Singapore, and me dressed in Jases clothes (to avoid the stares of Philippino children??) looking at giant fish.
Im off to read everyone elses blogs now, man its better than woman's day ha.
